Jesus Hernandez Salcedo, Jr, known to loved ones as Jesse, Dad, Pops, or Old Man was born on July 26, 1949 to Jesus and Martina Salcedo in Indio California. He worked in the date trees and fields with his dad on the ranch for years before he graduated high school and joined the military in 1969. Jesus was a proud Vietnam Era Veteran. He was honorably discharged in 1975 after being an engineer in the Army for 6 years. He worked in Construction and retail sales for many years, but his favorite job was working at GEMCO in the camera department, where his hobby became a job.
He loved photography and was able to share his passion with many people. In 1980 he took a major fall which put him in a body cast for two years. It was truly by the grace of God that he survived and was able to walk. He definitely was a miracle man.
