James Edward Magers, 87, passed away on Thursday, April 23, 2015 in Banning, California. He was born April, 12, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Oscar & Clara Magers. James was a seargent in the United States Marine Corps for 5 years and after that he had worked for Boeing / McDonald Douglas in Long Beach, California for 47 years where he had retired in the year 2000. For the past 16 years of his retirement he has resided in Cherry Valley.
James is survived by his daughters, Jayme Elin and Alice Magers; brother, Eugene Magers; sisters, Sue Miller and Irma McCoy; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 11, 2015 at 10:45 am at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA, Staging Area #4.
