Dora Beatrice Green age 64 was called to Heaven on Tuesday October 27, 2020 at Riverside Community Hospital. Dora was born on December 2, 1955 in Chihuahua Mexico to the late Emilio & Xochitl “Chica” Nevarez. Dora was a loving and dedicated daughter to her parents and a great sister.
Dora is survived by her husband Ronald Green, Stepson Eric Green, 7 beautiful Grandchildren, Stepdaughter Ashley Edwards Smith, 4 beautiful grandchildren, and Son Nicholas Chavez, Daughter-in-Law Yvonne Chavez and her beautiful Grandchildren Serena Chavez, Violet Chavez, Nicholas Chavez Jr., along with siblings Oscar Nevarez, Fernando Nevarez, Jaime Nevarez, and Mariza Cardenas and each of their beautiful children, along with many other loving family members who she loved and touched deeply.
Dora graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in El Sereno in 1973. She was married in her 20’s and had her only child Nicholas in 1978. Dora was a dedicated mother 1st before anything else, she loved her son Nicholas with her whole heart. They have an unbreakable bond that only a mother and son can share which will live on forever.
In 1981 Dora began a 40-year successful career in Banking. She became a VP at American Savings, a VP at Washington Mutual, and a VP at Chase. Throughout her career and life journey she touched many lives and made countless lifelong friends along the way.
In March 1990 Dora met the love of her life Ron Green. They were married Oct. 1st, 1994 at Lake Tahoe, for 26 beautiful years. Dora and Ron are soulmates and she loved him deeply, he protected and loved her with his heart and soul. Dora traveled the world with Ron and shared unforgettable memories together.
Dora was a dedicated Catholic and loved going to her church every Sunday. She lived her life like one of her favorite Bible verses, Ephesians 4:32- “And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.”
Her unofficial career as a family storyteller will be forever remembered. She loved to entertain friends and family with her re-enactments of our best times. One of her favorite places was Pismo Beach, with 35 years of memories made, she enjoyed Pismo with many family members over her lifetime.
Throughout her life, Dora cherished her family time. She loved spending her time with her grandbabies, who she lived for. She loved her arts and crafts, where she made her beloved and thoughtfully crafted cards, “Mystic Creations By DCG”. She loved holidays and special occasions, such as her famous Tamale parties. Dora always filled the room with laughter and smiles. She was a shining light and a source of unconditional love for all those who knew her. Dora will forever be missed; our angel now has her wings.
