Virginia Ann Munson

Virginia Ann Munson passed away in Houston, Texas on November 10, 2019 at the age of 75. She was born in Lufkin, Texas on May 22, 1944 to the union of Harrell Colwell, Sr. and Orpha Lee Pouland-Colwell.

Virginia was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown and Durham Business College in Pasadena. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church since the early 1950’s and was employed with Shell Oil Company in Deer Park for 40 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Munson; mother, Orpha Lee Pouland Blanchard; father, Harrell Colwell, Sr.; brothers, Harrell Colwell, Jr., Ronald W. Colwell, and Wayne Colwell.

She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Dodson; step-father, Tilman Blanchard; step-brother, Craig Blanchard; and daughter of the heart, Robyn Cousins; and her grandson, Trenton Cousins.

The family will receive friends for visitation at Navarre Funeral Home on Thursday, November 14, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm, with a funeral service to begin at 6:00 pm. Burial will take place on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 1:00 pm in Palms Memorial Park, Dayton, Texas.
