She was preceded in death by grandparents John Troy and Fern Robbins Harrison, and James William and Corine D’Neal Keoughan. Parents James William Jr. and Troylene Keoughan, Uncle Curtis Harrison, and first Husband Tommy Turner.
Sue is survived by daughter Angel and son-in-law Mark Carlson, daughter Kristi and son-in-law Troy Bowden; and Joe R. Aylor. Sue is blessed with two granddaughters, Delaina Carlson and Rylee Bowden.
On December 30, 1989, Sue married Joe Ross Aylor. For many years, they owned and operated ARJ Construction, which was closed after the death of Joe Ross in 2006.
Sue’s pride and joy was her two precious poodles Pako and Paisley, each of which had life better than most humans. Every night, Paisley slept on top of Sue’s head and Pako took up the remaining 3/4s of the bed.
Sue grew up with many “crazy cousins”, whom she saw often. In the last few months they had many reunions, sleep overs, game nights and way too much food. She dearly loved her cousins and enjoyed talking about old times.
She had been active for the past 21 years in the Bay Area Relay for Life organization in both volunteer and leadership positions. Sue completed her last survivor lap at Relay for Life in April 2019. As she left the event, Sue remarked that this will be my final relay. Her commitment to Relay for Life stemmed primarily from the many friends and family who suffered from this dreaded disease.
Gardening was something Sue loved to do. Or rather, she loved to supervise as someone else did it. When pressed she would tell you that she occasionally watered the plants. She was often quick to tell Brad what to do, and how to do it. Brad spent many years as the beloved family handy man.
Sue had numerous lifelong friends from grade school to the present, and was thankful for their love, support, and prayers. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church and believed strongly that God deserved all the glory and praise for her life’s journey.
Sue requests that in lieu of flowers you please make a donation to one of the following:
