Gladys, a long-time resident of Highlands, Texas, was referred to by many as the Queen of Highlands.
She was preceeded in death by her parents, S.F. and Reba Simmons; brother, Clarence Simmons; son, Jimmy Adcox; her husband, Odell Burnett “Jack” Adcox; and grandson, Brent Adcox.
She is survived by her daughter in-law, Neva Adcox, of Baytown; grandchildren, Dee & Mike Butler of La Porte, Francis & Jimmy Sutton of Baytown, Jack & Irene Adcox of Highlands, Charlotte & H.W. Kilpatrick of Dallas, and Tammie & Phylis Hicks of Baytown; great-grandchildren, Chris Elizondo, Dane Wilcox, Brett, Brandon & Brady Butler, Jeremy, Jamie, Keith & Michael Sutton, Nikki Guzman, Dena Fardjami, Chance Adcox, Remington Adcox, Sam Lindsey, Sarah Leann Adcox, English Lancon, Courtland, Cody, and Geneva Kilpatrick; and many great, great, great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Monday, February 23, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
