For over 40 years we have hiked the same trails and tracks (black road) and camped, fished and football where touch was tackle the guy! (I don't know who made that rule up) We road our bikes the back roads instead of going the fastest route. We partied like no tomorrow, and got up early enough to watch the game. The game maybe over here for Sam, but only beginning a new one with our Father. May we celebrate Sam's New Life. God Bless Sam and the one's he left behind. Till we meet again.

Very glad to have known and rode with you Sam. You will be deeply missed by so many.My sympathy to family and friends.

This is the hardest part of being an insurance agent for motorcyclists. We knew Sam for 5 years and my staff and I are truly saddened by the loss of such a fine man. Our sincere condolences go to his family as we say another prayer for his loved ones and all those who ride.

     There are not enough words in the world to express the shock and heartbreak I feel since the call came that you had gone on to Heaven. To this day I've never known a person with a bigger heart and a more radiant smile. Your joy and love filled every room you ever walked into. Sam, I heard a lot about you  during Hurricane Ike from my wanna be son-in-law and then I met you at my daughter and gonna be son-in-law wedding. You were a man with a radiant smile and so respectful. Then I had the pleasure to be with you again at my daughter and son-in-law's home for Thanksgiving at which time they said you were their loving brother. As the evening went on, you invited me into your life. Smokehouse party, your crawfish boils, your upcoming birthday. It was truly something to look forward to for a 70 year old man such as myself. You made such a lasting impression on my wife and myself that we will have forever. You will always be our ghost rider in the sky.

Sam has left us so many memories. One of course was his backyard parties attended by great friends in which he proudly showed off his fine cooking talents.  This summer I had a few special events of my own to host. When I told Sam what I was doing and he knew it was something I had not previously done before he immediately involved himself by asking what I had planned to cook. Of course he gave me plenty of cooking advice.  He attended all and took me aside at each party and gave me plenty of compliments on how well things were going and how good the food was.  I will never forget our many conversations over that chain linked fence. He was such a tease; he could always make me laughed. We share our concerns, our goals, our accomplishments, where we were going and where we had been.  He was a friend to everyone and loved by many. We will all miss him but we must always remember we were so fortunate to have him in our lives.

Sam, the news reminds us how selfish and jealous fate can be to take one our best without notice. you made impressions as someone large enough on the outside to command instant respect, yet even larger on the inside to preserve it. if there's a club in heaven, they just drafted one of the best. and if you ever wondered how you will be remembered, the answer is forever and with fond respect. a perpetual toast to you friend.

I remember Sam when we were little kids riding our bikes down the street. We would pedal as fast as we could then jump off and let the bikes go as far as they could. He always had a big smile on his face...would try to act tough but was kind at heart. I'll see you again some day my friend.

Sam was a very dear friend of mine. He was a good man and very loyal to his biker brothers. He was loved by many. He was always the life of the party, and they called him ""Smokehouse"" for a reason......he was a darn good cook. R.I.P. Sam, you will be missed.

It is hard to say goodbye to such a good friend. Sam was one of the best friends a person could have.  You will truly be missed by all. Be free Sam and hope to see you again. I will always miss you but never stop loving you.

Wow Sam.  You are definitely going to be missed.  Gonna miss that holler over the fence everytime we are in the pool along with that beautiful contagious smile. It is really hard to believe.

I had the honor of knowing Sam and working with him at Shell. We shared several stories of riding our motorcycles and the beauty of being on the open rode ,also how we seemed to do our best thinking out there on the open rode.
