Rudolph (Rudy) Dyson Edwards

He attended Robert E. Lee High School and retired from Houston Natural Gas (ENTEX). He really loved his family and enjoyed hunting and fishing with them.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Billie Joe Edwards; parents, Lemuel Dyson Edwards and Susie Bell Edwards; son-in-law, Willard Derrick, and sister, Margie Milligan.

He is survived by his daughters and son-in-law, Dysena (Dee) and Buck Leavins, and Peggy Derrick; son and daughter-in-law, Rudolph, Jr. and Diana Edwards; grandchildren and their spouses, Dane Davis, Sonja Oakley-Brown and Darryl Brown, Buck, Jr. and Shanna Leavins, Mary and Cal Start, Rachel Cook, Dysana and Jason Lee, Stephanie and Gene Starling, and Samantha Medrano; great-grandchildren, Jarrod, Kasey, Marcus, Ross, Linzi, Callie, Corbin, Bella, Cierra, Mia, and soon to arrive Emily.

Private family services and burial will be held. Serving as pallbearers will be Gene Starling, Cal Start, Jarrod Oakley, Kasey Oakley, Marcus Oakley, and Buck Leavins, Jr.

In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the Memorial Baptist Church Building Fund, 600 W. Sterling Ave., Baytown, TX 77520.
