Richard Edward McGuire, age 53, of Highlands, died January 18, 2014, in the hospital following a brief illness. He was born on September 15, 1960, in Baytown and graduated from Sterling High School in 1979. He went to work for Harris County right after high school, where he was employed for 33 years. He retired in 2013. Richard was also known for his service to his community by serving as a volunteer fireman for both Highlands and Crosby.
Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Erletha. He is survived by his son, Dane and wife Sadie; daughter, Kirby; grandson, Tatum; father, Bill; and brother, Steven.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 23, at Earthman Memory Gardens located on Garth Road. Viewing at 1:00, and services are at 2:00p.m.
