Peggy was born to Aubrey Traylor and Mildred Chapman Traylor, February 27, 1941, in Texarkana, Texas. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1959. She married William Ray Baker in 1968, and they lived in Houston, Texas. Together they raised 6 children.
She is survived by her children: Kelly Baker Goff and husband David; Jamie Reeves and husband Britain; Judy Montemagno and husband Allen; Donna Hartsell and husband Jay; as well as her brother Jerry Leroy Traylor and brother in law Ron Hoover. She also leaves to cherish her memory 28 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Ray Baker; her father, Aubrey Traylor; her mother Mildred Traylor; her brother Robert “Dottie” Traylor; her sister Audrey Hoover; her sons Kenneth Ray Baker and Donald Glenn Baker.
Peggy worked as an accountant for Texas Iron Works for many years. She enjoyed reading, watching sporting events and spending time with her family.
Serving as pallbearers will be Gary Traylor, Scott Hansen, Robert Hoover, Scott Page, Dusty Traylor, David Traylor and Wesley Traylor.
Tiffany Baker will officiate the ceremony.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:30 am and a funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at Earthman Funeral Home at 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, Texas 77521. A reception will follow at the home of Jerry Traylor, 7519 Willow Oak Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521.
