She was born in Forsan, Texas, on January 30, 1936, to Raymond Thomas Hale and Mary Esther Hall.
She was married to Donald Roy Chapman for 53 years.
Patsy had a career in medical administration.
She was a member of Trinity Tabernacle Assembly of God, in Baytown, Texas, for many years, and had a passion for singing on the Praise Team and at nursing homes. Additionally, Patsy loved playing softball and volleyball, hunting, fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a great humanitarian with a zest for living.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Chapman, and siblings, Boyce Hale, Betsy Ruth Watson, Crockett Hale, Charlie Thomas Hale, and Barbara Ann Blissard.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Chapman Davis and her husband, Kenneth Davis of Baytown, Texas, and Barbara Diane Grefer and her husband, Jim Grefer, of Florence, Kentucky, and dear friend Thomas Mulkey; grandchildren Marcus Mulkey, Joel Mulkey (Leslie), David Jackson, Andrea Radank, Chelsea Hendrixson (Tod) and twelve great grandchildren.
The family wishes to acknowledge the special care given by Mary Lou, Deshawn, Veronica, Cindy, Ebony, Kay, Keena, Shirley, Mario and all the others at Swan Manor Assisted Living who worked diligently and with great care to provide help for our mother, mother-in-law, and grandmother. Additional thanks to Marcia and the staff of Faith Community Hospice.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, December 4, 2023 from 5-8 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. Funeral services will occur on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home. A private interment will take place at Sterling White Cemetery, Highlands, TX.
