Martha was the daughter of Andres Paz and Consuleo Rocha and was the eldest of six siblings. She grew up in Linares, Nuevo Leon, Mexico along aunts and cousins. From an early age, she was a devout Catholic and loved praying. Martha excelled in all subjects but loved reading and writing. After high school, she pursued an administrative accounting certificate at Colegio Modelo Catholic School, where she would later register her daughters for their education and faith formation. After completing her certification, she landed her first job at a local hardware store where she kept all the accounting and where she met her husband Jose A. Trujillo.
Martha, 21, and Jose, 29, married in March 1979 and welcomed their first daughter Maria in December of that year. Three years later their daughter Martha Isabel was born in 1982. Without planning, three years later in 1985, they welcomed their third daughter Ivonne. To keep the three-year tradition, they welcomed their fourth and last child, Tannia in 1988.
Martha dedicated her life to her husband and daughters. She was a homemaker, although at times, she stepped out and wore the “working mom” hat and excelled as well. She loved reading, sewing, and tending her garden. Martha was welcoming, friendly, and cared for others, especially friends and family.
She continued to practice her faith and prayed to the Devine Mercy till the last day of her life. She leaves a legacy to her daughter and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Andres Paz and Consuelo Rocha, and her grandson, Greg Anselmo Alvarez.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jose A. Trujillo; her eldest daughter Maria, her husband and their three children; daughter Martha Isabel Alvarez, her husband and their two children; daughter Ivonne Trujillo- Silva, her husband and their three children; daughter Tannia Carreon, her husband and their two children.
Martha had 10 grandchildren all whom she loved and loved her back. She was loved by family and friends and will be missed and remembered.
