Marilyn Ford

Marilyn Ford, 74, of Baytown went to be with her Lord and Savior October 31, 2009. She was born in Houston, Texas on July 10, 1935. She attended Milby High School and graduated in 1953. She married Milton D. Ford in February 1956. Marilyn and her husband pastored Faith Temple United Pentecostal Church in Baytown for many years.

As a pastor's wife, she sang, played the organ, led the choir, published a weekly church bulletin, conducted children's church, taught Sunday school, and was a constant support to her husband and her church family.

At the age of 59, she graduated from Lee College with an Associate's Degree and began working for Continental Airlines. She later transferred to Southwest Airlines, where she remained until she retired.

Her grandchildren were always the delight of her life. She greatly enjoyed helping to raise them, traveling with them, and sharing in every moment of their lives.

She is preceded in death by her husband; Rev. Milton D. Ford, grandson; Kody Blake Collins, Sisters; Hazel Koch, Shirley Davidson, and brother Tommy Wolfe.

She is survived by her only child, daughter, Mia Ford Donaldson; son-in-law, Allen Donaldson; grandson, Kase Ford Collins; granddaughter, Kara Delaine Collins; granddaughter, Taylor Donaldson; grandson, Clayton Donaldson; niece, Lisa and Doug Winner; nephew, Jay Lynn Davidson; nephew, Jimmy Lee and Jackie Davidson and aunt, Melba Turner.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m, Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church, 5901 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 4, 2009 at 10:00 a.m at Peace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Kenneth Grant, Rev. C.E. Lott, and Rev. J. Russell Hayes officiating. Burial to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 21723 Aldine-Westfield Road, Humble, TX, 77338
