Louis William ""Whistling Willie"" Moreno, Jr., 56, of Baytown was born April 11, 1956 in Baytown and passed away Sunday, November 18, 2012 at his home. He was a 1974 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended Rice University. He was a construction supervisor for EMAX General Contractors. Willie was musically gifted and he had a love for music. He was active in the Baytown Little Theater and the Red Stocking Review and he liked to Karaoke. As his nickname ""Whistling Willie"" implies, he was a very gifted whistler, having competed four times in the International Whistleoff.
He was preceded in death by his father, Louis William Moreno, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Allison Moreno; daughter, Ellen Moreno; son, Phillip Moreno; mother, Martha Medellin Moreno; brothers and sisters, Susie Moreno and Irvin Kleespies, Nancy Moreno and Kevin Robbins, Robert and Linda Webb Moreno, Arthur Moreno and Serena Hightower, Joe and Vonda Wootan Moreno, and John Moreno and Stephanie Ball; nieces and nephews, Nicki and Scott Kana, Kimberly Bradford, Sydne and Alex Kleespies, and Kelsey, Max, Amelia, Gabriel, Quentin, and Sophia Moreno; and Moochie the cat.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Walles officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be his brothers and brothers-in-law.
