He had a good heart and would help all in need. He told the best stories too, always with a humorous twist that had your belly hurting from laughter.
He served in the Army in Vietnam as a combat medic on the front lines where he was wounded and received a purple heart for his service. After the military he went to college then worked as a teacher for a short time. He worked with U.S. Steel for 11yrs until they closed down. After that he worked as a courier for a bank, a baker at a pie shop, head cook at Bud's BBQ, and many other various jobs. He also raised his four sons, Kris, Brian, John, and Steven as a single father. His passion in life was cooking, fishing, and gardening. His motto in life was to take pride in your work; whatever you are doing, learn and do the best that you can and always keep smiling. He will be missed greatly by all his family and friends.
