Judy married William Gordon on August 13, 1962 in Dumas, TX. Although she had many occupations throughout her lifetime, her most important role was being a caregiver. Her proudest accomplishment was being a mother and raising her three daughters. Judy never met a stranger and always had a smile on her face, however, had a very strong, determined personality and openly expressed her feelings. Judy loved to sing and dance merrily wherever she was at.
Judy had many hobbies including, crocheting, shopping, collecting sentimental knick-knacks, watching old movies repeatedly, going to the theatre, visiting aquariums, traveling and camping. Judy also loved to sing and dance, loved getting her nails done, and stopping to smell the roses. Judy loved her dogs as well as dragonflies.
Judy shared the gift of life through organ donation which will save or enhance the lives of over 100 people.
She was preceded in death by her fathers, mother, two sisters, and brother.
She is survived by her husband, William Aubrey Gordon; children, Vonnie Gordon, Leslie and husband Timmy Cook, Trina and husband Rick Svendsen; 11 grandchildren, Rachael, Brandon, Cory, Tara, Michael, Jennifer, Missy and husband Briggs, Travis, Trevor and Jordan; seven great-grandchildren, Colton, Blake, Bryan, Bella, Emma, Lincoln and Tessa; three sisters, Kathy Wheeler, JoAnn Scruggs and Cindy Wurst; and numerous nieces, nephews and loved ones.
A viewing will be held on Monday, March 3, 2014, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX 77521.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.
Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Amarillo, TX.
