Jack Clinton Jackson passed away on August 24, 2019 in Houston, Texas surrounded by his family. He was born on August 26, 1936 in Baytown, Texas to Cecil and Jane Jackson. Jack was married to the late Anneene Jackson, who he cherished and loved for 52 wonderful years. After Anneene passed he was blessed with another amazing woman, wife Barbara Fletcher, who he loved dearly for eight years.
Jack is survived by son Scott Jackson (wife Frankie), daughter Toni Freeman (partner Dean Johnson), and son Gregg Jackson (wife Jill), and sisters Kathryn King and Margaret Rawls. He is also survived by grandchildren he loved so much; Kendall David (husband Derek), Kevyn Bieschke (husband Kyle), Karsyn Jackson, Max and Greer Freeman, and Catherine and Caroline Jackson. He also proudly welcomed his first great granddaughter, Dahl Anneene David. He is preceded in death by son-in-law, Dan Freeman.
Jack graduated in 1954 from Robert E. Lee High School and was a proud Gander. As a young man he served in the National Guard and worked for Ashland Chemical Company. He then went to work for the family business at Kemp and Tony’s Equipment Company as a business manager. Later, he built his own real estate agency and was president of Bay Area Board of Realtors. He was on the Board of Directors at Texas State Bank and the YMCA. He retired from Bayer Corporation, as a plant superintendent, with twenty-six years of service. Jack was also an elder at First Presbyterian church for many years.
He loved his friends and family. Everyone that knew him was better for it. He was the life of the party and the patriarch of our family. Jack loved endlessly and set the foundation for strong family values, continuous laughter, and unconditional love. He will be profoundly missed by all that knew and loved him.
A celebration of Jack’s life will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. The family welcomes visitors on Wednesday, August 28, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. A celebration of life service will be on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown, Texas. Honoring the family as pallbearers will be Max Freeman, Kyle Bieschke, Derek David, Josh Townsend, Rich Richardson and Tyler DeMando.
