He graduated from High Island High School in 1952 and then served in the US Navy for two years, where he was stationed in Hong Kong during the Korean War.
He was a loving son, brother, father, uncle, husband, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a member of the Pipe Fitters Local Union 211 for 50 years. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He loved going to his grandkids games and school performances. He loved to watch all football. He was also a member of the Methodist Church.
He was proceeded in death by his parents Troy and Sadie Stanley, brothers John and TL Stanley and sister Edna Mae Stanley.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-nine years Tina Stanley; sister Esther Ryan, daughters and son in law, Theresa and Darwin Raines of Deer Park, Deanna and Scott Wallace of Beach City; son and daughter in law, Galen and Susan Stanley of Mont Belvieu, grandchildren, Kari Anderson and husband Scott, Tiffani Peri and husband Mike, Stefani Anderson and husband Josh, Sam Wallace and wife Jessica, Derek Wallace, Taylor and Cole Stanley, great grandchildren, Tristan and Brooklyn Anderson, Mikayla, Ashlyn, Jacob, Brody and Preslee Peri, Chloe, Kendall and Maddox Anderson. As well as numerous other family and friends.
A visitation will be held Monday, April 23, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd. Baytown, TX 77521. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home on Garth Rd. with Reverend Melody Kraus officiating.
An interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery 8501 Spencer Hwy., Pasadena, TX 77505
