Evelyn J. Dahlquist

Jimmy Evelyn Dahlquist was born on Jan. 19, 1922, in Joseph, TX, and passed away on March 15, 2012. She was born to Quincey Eva (Berry) and James Allen Bradbury. She was a homemaker, mother, wife and grandmother. She worked for Bay Fair from the day the doors opened until 1984. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. She married Andrew Dahlquist on Jan. 8, 1942 in Goose Creek.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Eva Bradbury; brothers, Aubrey (Crackcorn) Bradbury, JA Bradbury, Jr., sister, Marie Wright and son-in-law, James Spears.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Andrew Dahlquist of Baytown; daughters, Sylvia Spears and Mary Strown and husband John of Baytown; son, Tony Dahlquist, Sr. and wife Kris of Highlands; brother, Robert Bradbury of Field Store; grandchildren, Andy and Gail

Spears of Baytown, Jay and Andi Spears of Clarksburg, WV, Alicia and Tony Fernandez of Spring, TX, Tracy Strown, Johnna Strown and Fiance Nathan Morris of Baytown, Kerrie and Rick Larkin of Crosby, Tony and Kriste Dahlquist, Jr. of Baytown; great grandchildren, William and Matthew Spears, Bailey and Riley Spears, Aubrey, Blake and Cole Larkin, Kaylee Dahlquist, several nieces, nephews and special friend, Ellen Perkins.

The family will receive friends on Monday, March 19, 2012, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 19, 2012, at 10:00 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tony Fernandez, Gerald Garner, Matthew Spears, Dr. Jim Zaruba, Rick Larkin, Tony Dahlquist, Jr., Andy Spears and Nathan Morris. Honorary pallbearers will be all members of Eastside Church of Christ, Bill Murff and William Spears.
