Charlie Pittman Dobbs passed away on June 4, 2003 at his home in Baytown, Texas. Growing up in the Dobbs household was a bit different than most homes. There were good times to be had, but just as often there was a fair share of challenges as well. However, Charlie was able to work through the usual family problems when they appeared, and he was the one person in the family who seemed able to keep the stress at bay. He had seven brothers and three sisters, all older than him.
Charlie developed a variety of interests and the things he enjoyed doing he did well. Charlie took part in basketball and he was a member of 4-H. In his spare time he liked to read.
In high school he enjoyed some courses more than others, his favorite class was math. Charlie was a very logical person who enjoyed learning about factual information. Charlie always seemed to have a command of the facts and was able to make sense of any problem that might be presented to him.
He is survived by his spouse Norene, his children and their spouses and numerous grand and great grandchildren.
Services were held at Calvary Baptist Church of North Channel. Charlie was laid to rest in Houston National Cemetery.
