Billy "Red Feather" Smith

Billy (Red Feather) Smith, age 85, passed away Monday, January 13, 2020. He is preceded in death by his wife of 34 years Joy Smith; parents Zola Burns Smith and Dewitt Smith; sister Maxine Sjolander and brother JC Smith. He is survived by his wife Frankie Smith of 16 years; daughter Laura Sue Sowders and husband Dennis; grandchildren Melissa San Miguel and wife Elizabeth, Lindsey Massey and husband Justin, Amber Tankink and husband Tony. Step-daughter Terri Choate and husband David; grandchildren Dusty Meadows, Kylee Choate, and Kody Choate and fiancé Rachel. Along with 7 great-grandchildren Clayton King, Lexis Hill, Cade Hill, Courtney King, Chloe Tankink, Abby Tankink and Jordan Smith; 1 great-great grandchild Kamden Kenna and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Smith will lovingly be remembered by his faith in the Lord and the love for his family and friends whose hearts he has touched over the years. He was an active member of Garth Road Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a big part of his community for over 50 years servicing as one of the finest upholsterers in Baytown. He will also be remembered for his music, which was his true passion in life.
