Arturo Jose Rodriguez Sr. was born to the late Carlos and Francisca Garza Rodriguez on March 9, 1928. Arturo joined the United States Army Air Corp in 1945. He then received training in air-conditioning and refrigeration service in San Antonio from General Motors, and was later certified. He then became self-employed under Rodriguez Refrigeration Service where he served his community for 38 years.
Arturo is preceded in death by son-in-law, Frank Gene “Gino” Herrlein.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Angelina Clauido Rodriguez; Iris Alaniz (Alfonso); Diana Herrlein; Tito Rodriguez (Amy); Gilbert Rodriguez (Lisa); Maria Ofelia Balboa; Aida Gloria Haught (Charlie); Carlos Rodriguez (Andrea); and Arturo Jose Rodriguez Jr. (Rosa).
Arturo was blessed with 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren as well as many other family members and dear friends.
A time of visitation will be held at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 5-8pm with a Rosary service beginning at 7pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at 10am at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1907 Carolina Ave., Baytown, TX. Interment to follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Rd., Baytown, TX.
