"Resident and native of Denham springs, he passed away October 7, 2017 at the age of 91. Bill proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy, during WWII. Visitation will be Tuesday October 10, 2017 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Boulevard from 5pm to 9pm and continuing Wednesday October 11, 2017 from 9am until Funeral Service at 11am in Rabenhorst Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Jack Wells. Interment: in Salem Cemetery. Bill is survived by his four sons, William M. Gillespie III and fiancé Kathy, Kenneth W. Gillespie, Donald R. Gillespie, and John C. Gillespie and wife Jashayla Gillespie, and one daughter; Donna G. Moore. Fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Joyce Clayton Gillespie and parents; William Martin and Olga Gillespie. He was an avid outdoorsman.
