Tommy Wayne Dozier passed away November 21, 2024, at the age of 72. Tommy lived in Pineville and Baton Rouge, LA for the last twenty plus years. Tommy grew up in rural Mississippi but resided in Jackson prior to retiring from a career at Chevron and relocating to Louisiana. He was a veteran who proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed eating out, reading his western novels, and loved spending time with his family, especially all his nieces and nephews. Tommy’s love will forever be our guide.
Tommy is survived by his sisters, Loraine Williams (Tommy), Linda Clark (Ronnie), Wanda Floyd (Richard), and Lavern Treadway (Allen); and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Marvin and Dora Dozier; brothers, James Dozier and Harley Dozier; sister, Georgia McCardle; half-sisters, Betty Robertson and Mary Helen Gibson; and nephews, Chris Treadway, and Mark McCardle.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, followed by a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Tommy’s name to the Veterans Association.
