Sue Terry Johnson

Sue Terry Johnson, a resident and native of Baton Rouge, passed away March 29, 2023 at the age of 77 years old. Sue was born in Baton Rouge, LA. to parents Guy and Berta Terry on February 16, 1946. She was a graduate from University High and received both her undergraduate and Master's Degrees from LSU. She was a proud teacher and administrator for over 51 years and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Teacher’s Organization. Her many years of education service touched and inspired the lives of countless children. Her sweet spirit and unique ability to make others feel loved will be greatly missed.

Sue loved her LSU Tigers, reading and most of all spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Shane Johnson and wife Jen; grandchildren, Briana Johnson, Shana Johnson, and Trevor Hatley; sister, Arlene Back (James); brothers, Robert Terry (Dee), Bill Terry (Sally) and Guy Terry; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death are her parents, Guy Fulton Terry Sr., Berta Mae Pierce Terry and brother Bert Terry.

Pallbearers will be Roger Sanders, Trevor Hatley, Chris Murphy, Thomas Johnson, Will Lancaster and Kris Lancaster.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Wednesday, April 5, 2023, from 12:00pm until funeral service time of 2:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
