An East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputy with eight years of service, he died Saturday night, Sept. 20, 2008. He was 29, a resident of Baton Rouge and a native of Alexandria. Visiting at St. Patrick Catholic Church on Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 1 p.m. until religious service at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Jerry Martin. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Survived by his parents, Stephen Barry Coghlan Sr. and Bernadette S. Coghlan; brother, Jason Coghlan; and fiancée, Autumn Gerald. Pallbearers will be the Sheriff's Honor Guard. He attended Baton Rouge Community College and was a hunter, fisherman and dedicated LSU fan. Arrangements by Rabenhorst Funeral Home East.
