Rosemary LeBlanc Tuminello, a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2017 one day shy of her 89th birthday at St. Joseph Hospice Carpenter House. She was so loved by her husband of 65 years, her four children, and her grand-children and great grand-children. Visitation will be held on Monday October 9, 2017 at Green Oaks Funeral Home from 5-8 pm and by a visitation at St. Thomas More Church October 10 from 9:30-10:45 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 at St. Thomas More on Goodwood Boulevard. Interment will follow on the grounds of Green Oaks Memorial Park. She lived and worked her entire life helping all those who needed help- siblings, family, friends, and strangers. She was a devoted member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church since 1960. She volunteered her time and effort for many years for the sake of others at St. Thomas More, St. Agnes, Bishop Ott Food Shelter and the Saint Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen. She was employed for over 20 years as a sales clerk for Sears. She is survived by brothers: Clifton J. LeBlanc and Francis Donald LeBlanc; her daughter Kay A. Lucas, and three sons Kenneth R. Tuminello and wife Robin, G. Brian Tuminello and his wife Dorian, and Bradley R. Tuminello and by her grandchildren- Kyle Tuminello, Erin Tuminello, Doug Tuminello, Michael Tuminello, Noel Meikle, Austin Tuminello, Harrison Tuminello, Parker Tuminello and 7 great grand-children. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Leon LeBlanc, Sr. and Aline Mire LeBlanc, her husband Roy H. Tuminello and by brothers Wilton A. LeBlanc, Arthur Leon LeBlanc, Jr., Russell A. LeBlanc, Earl A. LeBlanc, and sisters Dorothy LeBlanc, Marjorie Mautner, and Genevieve Garrett. She enjoyed travelling especially with her children and grand-children. She especially enjoyed Sunday and Holiday dinners with her children, grandchildren and great-grand children. She appreciated all her great neighbors, daughters-in-law, and the congregation at St. Thomas More church. The Tuminello family extends a special thanks to all family, friends, medical staff and caregivers who provided unending love and assistance to our mother. We further want to extend an extra special Thank You to Lisa Broussard for her love and dedication to "Rosie" and her family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bishop Ott Shelter.
