Rosa Mae Jagneaux Daigle, a sister, loving mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 11, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones at her daughter’s home in Central, LA. She was born to Julian and Lillian Jagneaux in Church Point, LA, in August of 1927. Rosa loved spending time with her family, reading, doing her puzzle books, and loved praying the rosary. As everyone reminded her during this past week, she was “the best mom and grandmother ever”. She took much joy in hearing those words of praise. We all called her our “prayer warrior”. Whenever anyone was ill or in an accident, we called mom to add them to her prayer list.Rosa is survived by her children, James Daigle (Rhonda), Randy Daigle (Sandy) and Phyllis Chambers (Jesse); 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Dies. Rosa is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Joseph B. Daigle; son, John Daigle; granddaughter, Dawn Chambers; and brother, Carlton Jagneaux. Visitation will be at St. Alphonsus Ligouri Catholic Church, 14040 Greenwell Springs Rd., Greenwell Springs, LA, on Friday, March 18, 2022, from 11:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm. A private burial will happen at a later date at Greenoaks Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Pinnacle Hospice for the loving care given to Rosa and her family during her final days. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rosa’s name to her favorite charity, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
