Ronald William Mueller

Greenwell Springs, LA-Ronald William Mueller, age 83, of Greenwell Springs, LA and formerly of Alcove, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 15, 2022.

Ronald was born on January 15, 1939, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He was the son of the late William Oscar and Hildegarde (Koenig) Mueller. At the age of seven his family moved to Coeymans, NY and then to Alcove, NY. He attended Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk School and joined the United States Army at the age of 17 in 1956 for three years until 1959. He trained at Fort Dix, New Jersey, and served in France.

Ronald worked in NY at Amtrak Railroad, Atlantic Cement, Esso Service Station, Quaker State Oil Company, and Owens-Corning Fiberglass Company. He and his family moved to Baton Rouge, LA, January 1982 where he worked at Cleve Willett Tire Company and he remodeled houses.

Ron loved to go fishing and bowling and travel with their motorhome. He also loved being outdoors and being on the tractor mowing, raking and baling hay.

He was predeceased by his parents and his brother William (Bettejean) Mueller. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Joyce (Flach) Mueller; two daughters, Debra (David) McCaa, and Darcy (Derek) Ransome; one granddaughter Cayla (Brock) McCaa Primeaux; four brothers, Norman Mueller, Robert Mueller, Philip Mueller, Richard (Robyn) Mueller, and one sister Vivian Mueller Clark; also several nieces and nephews.

Ronald has been privately cremated.
