Phyllis Deen Williams – born November 21, 1942 joined her Lord in Heaven on May 21, 2021 at the age of 78. Phyllis was born in New Orleans, LA, was raised in Meadville, MS, resided for many years in Perrysburg, OH, and returned to the state of Louisiana in 1995 to live closer to her family. Phyllis was committed to her professional career at Medical College of Ohio for many years, before moving home where she joined her sister Beverly at E.A. Uffman and Assoc. until her retirement in 2008. Throughout her life Phyllis was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, drawing, jewelry making, ceramics, and just about anything else creative. She had a special touch with gardening and loved flowers. Phyllis had many different titles over the course of her life, but the one she was most proud of was Mom. The pride she exuded in her daughter Jennifer could not be mistaken, and if you ever had a conversation with her, then you know if was practically impossible to make it through one without her mentioning some accomplishment no matter how big or small. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Lillian Pittman, her brother-in-law Carroll Tumey, and great-nephew Joshua Danielson. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Williams Picard, her daughter-in-law Wendy Picard, her sister, Beverly Tumey, her brother Bill Pittman, sister-in-law Marsha Pittman, nieces, Heather (Robert) Young and Amber (Patrick) Danielson, nephew, Tyler Pittman, five great nephews, Taylor, Jason, Ryan, Luke, and Zachary, one great niece, Katelyn, and dear friends Margaret Bethea and Pat Sams. Services will held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home located at 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Visitation 11 am until service begins at 2 pm. Interment will be near her parents and grandparents at Middleton Creek Cemetery in Meadville, MS at a later date.
