PEARL MARIE CROCHET ARNOLD, 97, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at home with family surrounding her and went to be with the Lord on June 30, 2016. Pearl was born October 19, 1918, in Pointe Coupee Parish, Louisiana to Edmond and Lena Crochet and was the oldest of nine children. Throughout Pearl’s life, she found satisfaction through her flower and vegetable gardening and she left a legacy of beautiful gardens and yards wherever she lived. Pearl had a zest for life and a wonderful kind temperament that would light up a room. She was an inspiration and encourager to everyone. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond and Lena Marguerite LeBlanc Crochet, and her husband of 51 years, Henry J. Arnold, her son, Danny Arnold, and two brothers, Lavoide (Buddy) Crochet and Roger Crochet, Sr. Pearl is survived by her daughter and her husband, Cheryl and Tom McKinstry, two grandchildren, Matthew Arnold (Nicole) and Jessica Gill (Byron), two step grandchildren, Jennifer and David McMillan, five great grandchildren, Sidney, Lucas and Madeline Gill, Brianna and Katelynn McMillan, four sisters, Marie Swindler, Ida Mae Hall, Lillian Rosar, Shirley Jackson, and two brothers, Welton Crochet and Ruffin Crochet. She enjoyed the following quotation, “Remember me as happy – and my life will have worth.” Pearl will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched. Visitation on Monday, July 4th at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Boulevard, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and a funeral mass service at 10:30a.m. at St. Thomas More Church. on Tuesday, July 5th conducted by Father Tom Duhe’ Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
