Patsy Hebert Messina

Patsy Hebert Messina, a native of New Orleans, and a resident of Greenwell Springs, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at the age of 79. She retired from the Catholic Diocese of Baton Rouge, after 20 years. She was a really good cook and a loving mother. Visitation will be on Thursday, March 30, 2023, from 10 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. She is survived by two sons: Dennis Barbier and Daryl Barbier; seven grandchildren: Stephen, Josh, Valerie, Rachael, RyAnn, Ethan, and JaeLynn; and four great-grandchildren: Barrett, Remington, Aniya, and Luna. She is also survived by her brother, Eric Hebert, Jr.; and sister, Debbie Boles. She is preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Messina; daughter, Denise Eller; mother, Agnes Hebert; and father, Eric Hebert, Sr.
