Mary Wilson peacefully passed away on September 28, 2023, at the age of 98 in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on June 28, 1925, in Blowing Springs, TN, to her late parents Virgil and Edna Stair. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Don (Bill) Wilson, her grandson, Brandon Jarreau, and her siblings Howard Stair, Malachi Stair, Edward Stair, Juanita Stair, JW Stair, and Eugene Stair.
Mary dedicated 45 years of her life to working in women's clothing sales, where she left a lasting impression on colleagues and customers alike. Her expertise and passion in this field made her an invaluable asset. She also loved tending plants and adding to her doll collection.
Mary is survived by her daughter Vickie Weaver and husband John, her son William (Billy) Wilson, and her sister Onah Fox. She will also be deeply missed by her grandchildren Tonya Heaton (Rick), Tammy Scalise (Michael), Tara Kirby, Neal Wilson (Dara), Jason Jarreau, and Jamey Felton (Chris). Additionally, Mary leaves behind 12 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews who will cherish her memory.
The family would also like to thank dear & loyal friend, Diane Ruiz, as well as the staffs of Clarity Hospice and Old Jefferson Community Care Center, especially nursing assistant, Shundea Pickett, for their loving care.
The family will be receiving friends and loved ones on Monday, October 2 from 10:00 a.m until services at 11:00 a.m. conducted by Pastor Billy Minyard at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 11000 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA.
