Mary Pritchard LeGlue, native of Plaquemine, LA and resident of Baton Rouge LA, passed away on August 9, 2022 at the age of 89. She retired from LA Department of Social Services, Office of Family Support after 35 years of service. Mary enjoyed reading books and magazines, dancing with her husband, traveling with her family, and talking on the phone with her lifelong friend, Katie Bee. She also enjoyed reading her Bible, saying her rosary and going to church every day.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Lana L. Lauret; son Jay A. LeGlue; grandchildren, Amber Schieffler (Stephen), Nicole McAlister (Matthew), Brandon Melancon (Jaime), Andrew LeGlue (Rondela), and Paige LeGlue; great-grandchildren, Amelia, Sadie, Winnie and Meredith; step-great-grandchildren, Kirstie and Brittney; great-great-grandchild, Jrevin; niece, Margaret Pritchard; and her best friend from childhood, Katie Bee.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 31 years, Gerald “Jay” LeGlue; parents, Jansen and Margaret Gladys Breaux Pritchard; and her brothers, Leroy F. Pritchard and Jansen J. Pritchard, Jr.
A visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA, on Saturday, August 13, 2022 from 1 pm until time of funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Brandon Melancon, Andrew LeGlue, Matthew McAlister, Barry Causey, and Stephen Schieffier.
