Mary Kathryn Fournet

"Mary Kathryn Fournet of Baton Rouge passed away peacefully on December 10, 2016 at the Butterfly Wing, Hospice of Baton Rouge, surrounded by her family. She was born July 3, 1925 in Lafayette, LA, the youngest of 9 children. She graduated from Lafayette High and SLI. She was a longtime member of Istrouma Baptist Church and was a Sunday school teacher. Visitation will be at Jenkins Memorial Baptist Church, 111 Oak Drive, St. Martinville, LA, on Saturday, December 17, 2016, from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM, conducted by Rev. Jessie Charpentier, Sr. Interment will follow at Fournet Cemetery, St. Martinville. Mary Kathryn was married to the late Phillip Hobson Fournet, Jr. for 63 years. She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Monteleone and Anne Baudouin and her husband Gary; a son, Mark Fournet, Sr. and his wife Kaye; a brother, Burton Beadle; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rosemond Wallace and Egla Elia Beadle; sisters: Llewelyn Bean and Annie Lee Henderson; brothers: Marvin, Wilbur, Wynan, Milburn, and Merritt Beadle; and a son-in-law, Leonard Monteleone.
