

"Mary Ann Sanders Boles passed away at home August 8, 2016. She was born in Fairfax, SC June 12, 1934. Her parents were Cleo Herman and Fannie Sanders. She graduated from Fairfax High School and Winthrop University with honors, and taught Physical Education at Dreher High School in Columbia, SC. Upon moving to Baton Rouge in 1965 she continued additional studies at LSU. She was a gifted and talented athlete. The wife of Jimmy P. Boles they would be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary this month. She is preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Margaret Hughes of Atlanta, GA, Betty S. Gordon of Bluefield, W.VA, and Hermene S. O'Neal of Fairfax, SC. She has many surviving nieces and nephews. She was a very active member of Florida Blvd. Baptist Church, Campfire Girls, and Red Stick Model "A" Club. The Memorial Service, Visitation and Reception will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd. on Saturday, August 20, 2016. The Visitation and Reception will begin at 10am and Memorial Service officiated by Rev. Dr. Jason Bland at 12:00pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Florida Blvd. Baptist Church, Audubon Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation. Honorary pallbearers are Donald Chaney, James Ervin, Ron Fly, Kenny Guillot and Mike Morgan.
