Martha Lea Crowson, age 89, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. She was born in Watson, Louisiana on May 1, 1933. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Crowson Canezaro (Ben); and her son, Steve Crowson (Mary); as well as her grandchildren: Leah Pizzalato (Nick), Bryan Crowson (Bambi), Steven Canezaro (Candis Koerner), and Richard Canezaro; and great-grandchildren: Mason Pizzalato, Cohen Pizzalato, Alyssa Hohensee, and Emma Hohensee. She is also survived by her brother, Roy Lea (Pat); cousin, Olive Campbell; sister-in-law, Margot Lea Martin; and her beloved nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Woodward Kinchen Lea; her mother, Marion Mullins Lea; her husband, Richard Flower Crowson; a brother, Woodward K. Lea, Jr.; and sister, Wanda Bernard Boyd. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, from 9am until service at 11am, conducted by Chaplain Mike Tippitt. Burial will follow at Old Red Oak Cemetery on Red Oak Drive in Livingston. Serving as Pallbearers will be Bryan Crowson, Steven Canezaro, David Bernard, Charlie Bernard, Charlie Bernard, Jr., and Reid Lea. Honorary Pallbearer will be Richard Canezaro. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to her caregiver, Angia Smith, as well as the caregivers and staff at St. James Place, Southside Gardens, Hospice of Baton Rouge, and Clarity Hospice.
