A former resident of Baton Rouge died Saturday February 15, 2014, at Wise County Hospital in Decatur, TX. She was 70 years old, born in Providence, Rhode Island. She worked as an electrician for Case Electric and a concierge at Holiday Inn. She was an active volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America from 1981-1994 and in 1992 she received the highest volunteer honor, the Silver Beaver for her honorary and dedicated service to the scouts. She is survived by her brother, Raymond Grenier; five children, Barbara Whitson, Joyce Barras, Loren Smith and wife, Robin, Douglas Carlton and wife Tracy, and Terri Voiselle and husband, Alan; 11 grandchildren, Eugene, Ryan, Christopher, Jeremy, Douglas, Tristian, Justin, Morgan, Kelly, Taylor, and Allie; and four great grandchildren, Beckett, Evan, Lincoln, and Carson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Ruth Grenier; husband, Gene Carlton; and son, Michael Carlton. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 5 PM until 8 PM and Friday, February 21, 2014, from 12 PM until religious funeral service at 2 PM conducted by Stephen M. Young II. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
