Lena H. Newman

Lena H. Newman passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013 at the age of 96 a resident of Walker and a native of Tangipahoa Parish. She is survived by her two sons and one daughter, William T. Newman and wife Mary, Frank E. Newman, Josette N. Williams and husband Jim, six grandchildren; Wendy N. Long, Scott J. Newman, Dustan M. Newman, Chad J. Williams, Casey M. Williams and Clint P. Williams, fifteen great-grandchildren; Mark, Christopher, Alexis Long, Jonah Newman, Alyssa and Gavin Newman, Steven LoMaglio, Seth and Emma Williams, Peyton and Braden Williams, Taylor, Abigail, Annabelle and Ella Williams; beloved nieces and nephew, Katy O'Neil, Hamilton Mixon, Paulette Likoudis, and especially a dear niece Melinda Bickham and husband Lou and son Trey. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Emile J. Newman, parents, Frank and Mittie Husser, sisters, Florence Couvillion and Ruby Mixon. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. Wednesday, January 30, 2013 beginning at 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume Thursday, January 31, 2013 at St Alphonsus Liguori Catholic Church from 10:00am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am with internment to follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
