Katherine Buster Cook, 51, born Sep. 22, 1970, in Wichita, KS, and longtime resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Tuesday Oct 19, 2021, after a short battle with cancer. Kathy was the only daughter of Gordon and Elaine Buster. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband of 23 years, Johnnie Cook, two sons Tyler and Austin Cook, two brothers Brad and Ron Buster, and nephew Michael Buster.
Kathy was a graduate of Baton Rouge High class of 1989. She earned a bachelor’s degree from LSU and a nursing degree from OLOL School of Nursing. Kathy loved being a nurse and was employed by BRGH Bluebonnet at the time of her passing. Visitation at St Jean Vianney Catholic Church on Wed. Oct 27 at 10 am followed by Mass at 11 am. There will be a private family burial at St George Catholic Cemetery.
