Longtime resident of Baton Rouge, Johnny Leo Scott Sr., passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2021. He was a beloved husband to Ima Lavelle Wooten Scott for 64 years. He served in the LA National Guard as well as the United States Army. Mr. Johnny was an Allstate agent for 36 years and a much loved coach for many BREC and American Legion teams. He loved spending time in his garden and passing down his knowledge to his grandson, Cameron.
He is survived by his wife, Ima Lavelle Wooten Scott; son, Johnny L Scott Jr. and wife Terri; daughters, Judith A. Scott and Tammy Bergeron-Wyatt and husband Jermaine. He was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Arthur and Ola Scott; daughter, Vicki Lynn Scott; brother, Curtis Scott; son-in-law, Duane Lee Bergeron and great-great grandson Ky Veronie. A special thanks to the Heart of Hospice and nurse Rachel. Pallbearers will be Mr. Scott’s grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation will take place at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA., on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 10:00am until funeral service time of 12:00pm. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
