John Rene Sparks, passed away on Wednesday November 13th, 2024. Born on March 30th, 1964, to the late Harvey and Faye Sparks. John is survived by one son: Kevin Sparks. He spent several years with his partner; Kimberly Ann Griffin along with his nephew; Dustin Arnold, his niece and her husband; Angie Arnold and Robert Baker. He preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Stan and Debbie Arnold.
John grew up in Brownsfield on Guice Dr., when a street was more like family, blessing him with great friends and family. John is described as a handsome and charismatic person who spent his career as an electrician by trade, although he could never stay out of trouble. On his free time, John enjoyed being an artist, playing sports and fishing with his father since a young age. He also loved riding dirt bikes and playing the guitar. He can now rest in peace now that he is home.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA 70815 on Thursday November 21st from 4 pm until 7 pm. Burial will be private at a later date.
