John Hugh Bauman

John Hugh Bauman (Buddy) was born on September 7, 1935, in Beaumont, TX and passed away on March 26, 2023 at the age of 87 years old. He served in the Air Force March 1, 1958 and was honorably discharged Feb. 23, 1960. He retired from Exxon Chemical after 28 years. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and friends. He was also a lifelong LSU fan! He is survived by his wife Elaine Bauman; his daughters, Cindy Richard (Milton) and Stephanie Revell (Jeff); and his sons John Bauman Jr. (Allison) and Jeremy Bauman (Melissa); three grandsons, Adam Richard, JJ Revell and Everette Bauman; 5 granddaughters, Britney Revell, Lindsey Magri, Megan Bauman, McKenzie Bauman, and Ellie Bauman; and 5 great-grandchildren, Kynsley Wellman, Braxton Richard, Mason Richard, Kannyn Magri, and Nolan Magri. He was preceded in death by his parents, J.O. Bauman and Eva Bauman, and his sisters Joann Johnigan and Dorothy Bauman.

Visitation will be held at Our lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Baton Rouge, LA on April 3, 2023 from 9 A.M.-10 A.M. followed by a mass. Burial will be held at LA. National Cemetery, 303 West Mount Pleasant RD Zachary, LA. Promptly at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers, please donate to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
