Joanne B Olsen

Joanne B. Olsen, native of Sioux City, Iowa and resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on October 3, 2023 at the age of 92. She was the heart and soul of our family. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda Spedale and Margie Olsen; three sons, John “Jack” Olsen, Jr., Edward Olsen (Lisa), and Carl “Chris” Olsen (Ann); daughter-in-law Debbie Olsen; grandsons, Hunter Spedale (Kristen), John H. “Trey” Olsen, III (Shelley), Adam Olsen (Makaleigha), Zachary Olsen (Allie), Randall Bowser (Lauren) and Edward “EJ” Olsen, II (Lauren), granddaughters, Melanie Spedale, Holly Olsen, and Janey Kay Olsen (Eric); 16 great grandchildren one due March 2024 and one great-great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her husband, John Olsen, Sr.; parents, James Edward and Lucille Moroney Brennan; sister, Georgia Jean McGlashan; son-in-law, Mark Spedale; and great-grandson, Max Emilian Bowser. Pallbearers will be her grandsons whom she adored; Hunter Spedale, Trey Olsen, Adam Olsen, Zachary Olsen, E.J. Olsen and Randall Bowser. A private mass and burial will be held for close family.
