Joanne Marie Nicholas, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 12:05 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 66 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, Phillip Nicholas, Sr. and Lena Dazzio Nicholas; two sisters, Margaret Nicholas Montalbano and Marie Nicholas Michael; and two brothers, Samuel "Bootsie" Nicholas and Phillip Nicholas, Jr. She is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m., with internment to follow at Roselawn Cemetery. Joanne worked in the Credit Department of Goudchaux's/Maison Blanche for most of her adult life. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She treated her nieces and nephews like they were her own. The family would like to thank the staff of Carrington Place Nursing Home and Our Lady of the Lake ICU for taking such good care of our Aunt in her time of sickness.
