James Larry Craig passed away on February 18, 2011 at his home in Denham Springs surrounded by his family after a courageous battle against lung cancer. Larry was born in Harrisville, Pennsylvania on October 14, 1936. He was an army veteran and was retired from Exxon after 27 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Amy Craig. He is also survived by his children, Debroah Sibley and husband David, Denise Craig, Dianne Hayman and husband Ed, and Doug Craig and wife Melissa; grandchildren, David and Michael Kennison, Jermy and Joshua Marcum, Chad and Christin Sherwood, Jennifer Gillespie, Ricky Craig, Chelbi Williams, and Logan and Alex Sibley; and 7 great grandchildren. Surviving siblings are Vonnie Hile and husband Art of Fredonia, Pennsylvania, Lucille Kay and husband Jim of Columbus, Ohio, Wendell Craig of Walker, and sister-in-law Evelyn Craig of Walker. He is preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Evelyn Craig, and his granddaughter, Natalie Marcum. Visitation will be at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Sunday, February 20, 2011 from 5 pm until 9 pm and will resume on Monday from 12 pm until religious services at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of Baton Rouge, First Methodist Church of Denham Springs, or Mangum Chapel Methodist Church in Walker. Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
