Harry J. Schexnayder, a native of Gramercy, longtime resident of Toledo Bend and resident of Walker passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014 at home surrounded by his family at the age of 83. Harry was a Operations Specialists having worked many years at Foster Grant in Baton Rouge and retired from Huntsman Corporation in Clear Lake, TX. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 from 5pm until 9pm with the recitation of the rosary at 7pm. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Denham Springs from 9:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11am. Burial will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Edwina "Putt" Bourgeois Schexnayder. Survived by his two daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen M. Schexnayder, Debra S. and Russell LaFleur, his son and daughter-in-law, Marc and Brenda Schexnayder, five grandchildren, Sandra Kelley, Michelle Shipe, Jennifer Taylor, Matthew Schexnayder, and Aimee Schexnayder, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by his brother, Wilfred Schexnayder, Jr.,and three sisters, Audrey Deslatte, Marguerite St. Pierre, and Janet Louque.
