A retired Legal Secretary, she was a resident of Baton Rouge, and a native of Dutchtown, La. She was 89. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home 9595 Florida Blvd. on Tuesday June 12, 2012 from 5pm till 8pm, visiting continues at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church on Wednesday June 13, 2012 from 12pm to Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm conducted by Rev. Mike Moroney, interment to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Geneva is survived by three daughters Gayle Sanders; Glenda Tate and Bridget Crozier, son John Loupe, and wife Wanda, sister Jeanette Melancon, brother Bobby Blair, six grandchildren John Tate, Stacey Hartley, Melissa and Chad Mouton, Leslie Toler and Keith Mouton, CoCo and Blue Loupe, six great grandchildren Britney Laird, Blake Toler, Gracie Tate, Paden, Allie and Shelby Mouton, and a great-great grandchild Daylin Laird. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband John H. Loupe Sr., parents Thomas J. and Eugenie Braud Blair, sister Marie Elizabeth Blair. Pallbearers will be Billie Sanders, Earl Ray Tate, Gene Hartley, John Tate, Blue Loupe, Blake Toler and Paden Mouton. Honorary Pallbearers Daylin Laird.
