Fred James Mayeux passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at the age of 87. He was born on February 21, 1937, in Plaucheville, LA, and was a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Fred is survived by his son Ricky and wife, Wanda; siblings, John Mayeux and wife, Earlene, and Kathleen Gremillion; and a host of other loving family members. He is preceded by his loving wife, Verlee Gauthier Mayeux, who passed three days before him; granddaughter, Latisha Mayeux; parents, Evans and Maydel Mayeux; brother, Myron Mayeux; nephews, Todd and Troy Mayeux; and brother-in-law, Ralph Gremillion. Visitation will be at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 12424 Brogdon Ln., Baton Rouge, LA, on Monday, October 14, 2024, from 11:30am until the funeral service at 12:30pm. Burial will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
