A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, Frances Paula passed away at her home on Saturday, June 27, 2009, at the age of 71. She was a retired longtime educator in local Catholic and public schools. Frances Paula was a vice president of Franklin Press Inc. and served on the board of directors. She was devoted to her family and to many dear friends. Survived by a brother, Thomas L. Holliday, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Betty Thudium, Baltimore, and Cathy Larsen, Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews whom "Sissie" loved to spoil. Preceded in death by her parents, Lydia Jensen Holliday and Frances Peola Holliday; sister, Lydia Holliday Langan; and brother, Daniel Jensen Holliday. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., on Monday, June 29, was from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visiting Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 30, from 9 a.m. until funeral Mass at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Frances Paula Holliday be made to St. Joseph's Academy, 3015 Broussard St., Baton Rouge, LA 70808 or Catholic High School, 720 Hearthstone Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
